Leuven, Belgium – 18 August 2021 – Sitemark receives an AI for Earth grant from Microsoft to help further our efforts in assisting solar asset managers in optimizing their site’s performance by providing them with actionable insights on data gathered via drone inspections.
This new grant will provide Sitemark with the infrastructure to accelerate our work on applying AI to automatically detect and classify objects on aerial imagery of solar sites worldwide, reducing costs and improving the scalability of inspections.
“As we have seen in the last few weeks, the impact of global warming is becoming more and more apparent, increasing the need for renewable and sustainable energy sources even more. At Sitemark, we are proud to be doing our part in helping green energy companies achieve this,” says Sitemark CTO Carrie Liptrot.
